‘Wanted 2’ is Coming, My Friends

What had to have been the breakout hit of summer '08, Wanted gained more cash overseas. Still, domestically it got about $134.5 million; together with foreign results that's around $341.4 million. The movie could've been a hit or miss, mostly because of its 'R' rating and the fact that it debuted the same weekend as Disney∙Pixar's WALL∙E (still, it came in at #2 with a huge sum of about $50.9 million), but because of the movie's fan base, the thriller was all in all a smash. So the talk of a sequel has been thrown around for a while now and it was officially confirmed a few months ago. Director Timur Bekmambetov (the name's Russian; don't even try to pronounce it) said to his country's Russia-ic via Coming Soon that he wants to start rolling film by the end of 2009. Right now he's getting everything ready. "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."

And now there's talk of Angelina Jolie's character Fox to return, but didn't she die at the end of Wanted? Movies are crazy, so anything goes. If we get another nice shot of Jolie's ass, I'm all for it (maybe for every sequel she stars in we get to see a bit more of her insanely delicious body!) James McAvoy, who played pushover Wesley Gibson in the original, says that he's up for another flick. Frankly, so am I and I bet you are too!
