The Henson Co, according to The Hollywood Reporter, has teamed up with Screen Novelties to make Monster Safari, a stop-motion animated film. Directors Mark Caballero, Seamus Walsh and Chris Finnegan are no strangers to the stop-motion world, animating for Adult Swim's Robot Chicken (including the first Star Wars special) and Moral Orel. They've also been stop-motion directors for The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Chowder and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. Screenwriters are Craig Zobel and Matt Chapman, along with Caballero, Walsh and Finnegan. The movie is based off of a Screen Novelties short film about finding monsters in a jungle. This sounds eerily like a Tim Burton or Henry Selick film (it'd be pretty cool of one of them could produce it). I'm nuts for stuff like this, so I absolutely can't wait!
