‘Bride of Frankenstein’ Remake ALIVE!!

Weren't we waiting patiently for this: a Bride of Frankenstein remake? Seems only fair, since modern Hollywood gave Chucky a bride. The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz Blog (which is turning out to be a fantastic source for movie news) says that writer/director of Interview with the Assassin, The Illusionist and The Lucky Ones Neil Burger will recreate William Hurlbuts's 1935 classic screenplay with fellow writer of Lucky Ones Dirk Wittenborn. The Nanny Diaries screenwriters Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman recently dropped out of the project; they wanted the movie's setting to be in present-day New York; however Burger no longer wants to go with that idea. It remains unclear what he is thinking on doing with the story, although it is said that he wants a big star to portray the famed monster.
