There Goes the Neighborhood: Oscars 2010

This is exciting if you're a film geek like me: the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have announced that the "Best Picture" category will expand from five movies to ten, the first time in history since 1943 when Casablanca won the coveted prize. The buzz is that the change was sparked when The Dark Knight and WALL∙E got the cold shoulder at last year's annual celebration. So far the predicted nominees are Star Trek and Pixar's latest Up, along with certain independent movies. Wouldn't it be cool if Coraline was nominated for "Best Picture (maybe even The Hangover)? The countdown starts now for the 82^nd Annual Academy Awards, guys. So grab your wallet and check the show times, because any movie is eligible.
