‘Frost/Nixon’ Screenwriter Takes on Next ‘James Bond’

Peter Morgan, the writer behind The Other Boleyn Girl and Academy Award nominees Frost/Nixon and The Queen has been asked by MGM to co-write the next James Bond flick along with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and Paul Haggis. Purvis and Wade scribed Johnny English and Die Another Day as well as the previous two Bond movies: Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. Paul Haggis has also done the last two Bond's, but he's also done Flags of Our Fathers, Million Dollar Baby, The Last Kiss and Crash. Other writing credits for him include TV shows L.A Law, Walker: Texas Ranger, The Tracey Ullman Show, The Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes.

I haven't' seen Casino Royale, however I did check out Quantum of Solace and found that it lacked story. Since Frost/Nixon was amazing last year, let's hope that Morgan can help Purvis, Haggis and Wade with whatever their not getting in the screenplay.
