J.J Abrams Will Produce 'Mission: Impossible 4'

J.J Abrams, most talked about recently for his new Star Trek movie, has been asked by Tom Cruise to produce Mission: Impossible 4. Abrams wrote and directed M: I3. He told TVGuide via Spoiler TV "I am incredibly honored that Tom has invited me back as a producer on Mission Impossible 4. Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing." Tom Cruise, I'm not going to be judgmental about. The dude's obviously got some balls for coming back to do more movies even after being slammed for the whole Scientology thing. So could an M: I4 be kind of cool, sure. But how come Abrams isn't directing? Who is? That information hasn't been revealed yet, although FilmJunk says that Abrams could return to direct the fourth installment of the series.

A lot of people are freaked out by this; they want another Star Trek, like, now. But we shouldn't make him our Trek guy, even though a sequel would definitely be kick-ass.
