‘Harry Potter’ won’t be in IMAX until July 29

Just when I thought this flick was starting to look kind of cool...

IMAX, that special giant-screen movie experience, had made a deal with Paramount for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to run showings in IMAX for 4 weeks starting June 26th when it's released. But Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince gets released July 15th, about 3 weeks after Revenge of the Fallen is out. So…what's IMAX to do? They've already got a contract with Michael Bay's new movie, but Warner Bros. has promised fans special 3D footage in the IMAX Half-Blood Prince that's not in the regular theater version. However not all hope is lost. The Hollywood Reporter says that if you live in New York or Los Angeles, you can still check it out during its debut weekend. To make things worse for the company, its stocks fell after this news bombed.

Well that sucks. As if the Harry Potter franchise wasn't having enough trouble already.

Harry Potter having trouble? How so? And I have seen none of the others in Imax so I am fine with regular screens, I lobe movies too much to be a snob or pay that much every time!
