Robert Downey Jr. Will Star in ‘Due Date’

We've been hearing about Due Date since The Hangover's sudden success happened. Todd Phillips will direct Date as well. Robert Downey Jr. is tagging along in the cast with Zach Galifianakis (who also starred in The Hangover), according to Variety. Due Date is about a soon-to-be dad who's rushing across the country before his wife has their first baby with a misfit sidekick. Downey Jr. will play the father with Galifianakis as his partner on the trip. It's scribed by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland (both writers on King of the Hill). Phillips calls the movie "a buddy comedy without the buddies."

Due Date starts filming in September in Atlanta, Arizona and Los Angeles and is set for release next year.
