Gibson to Star in ‘The Beaver’

Mel Gibson is set to star in director Jodie Foster's, who also directed 1995's Home for the Holidays and 1991's Little Man Tate, The Beaver, about a man who finds comfort in wearing a hand puppet of the animal. Foster is currently prepping to direct Flora Plum, about a girl who falls in love with a circus freak who's taken her in, set for a release date sometime in 2010. Keith Redmon (Rendition) will produce with studio Anonymous Content's Steve Golin. Steve Carell and Jay Roach are being talked about to also star. This will be the first acting gig by Gibson since 2003's Paparazzi.
