First Still of Barrymore’s ‘Whip It!’

Whip It! is about a teenager who defies her mother and plays roller-derby against her will. The movie is Drew Barrymore's directorial debut. She's been producing movies like Never Been Kissed and He's Just Not That Into You since 1999. Whip It! stars Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis and Jimmy Fallon along with Barrymore herself, and written by novelist Shauna Cross. In the first-ever image released of the movie from USA Today, we see Barrymore, Wiig and Page skating around a rink. I can't wait to see the trailer for this; Drew Barrymore has always been an underrated producer. This role as director of hers could be a really smart move.

Whip It! comes out October 9^th.
