New Trailer for ‘Big Fan’

Whoa, Patton Oswalt. You were great on The King of Queens and voicing Remy in Ratatouille. I even liked your cameos on Reno 911! and Observe and Report. But like all great comedians, you can't just turn your career around and act in a drama. Or can you? The reviews for Oswalt's new movie Big Fan have been fantastic since it premiered at Sundance in January; Peter Travers of Rolling Stone even called it a "keeper". Big Fan is about a major football fan that gets pummeled by his favorite athlete.

In addition to Oswalt, Big Fan also stars another funny guy, Kevin Corrigan. Corrigan has had cameos in Pineapple Express, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and more memorably as Eddie on the TV series Grounded for Life. The Grand Jury Prize nominee is the directorial debut of Robert D. Siegel, who wrote The Wrestler and the lesser-known The Onion Movie. Big Fan looks a lot like The Wrestler: the style of directing, the acting and the fact that it has to do with sports. My opinions are kind of mixed on the movie currently. I heard that The Wrestler was great; however I found it to be nowhere near as genius as I thought it was.
