DreamWorks is making the View-Master a Star!

I actually laughed as I wrote that title. But it's true; according to Variety, DreamWorks SKG is making a movie based off of the old toy. The movie studio wants to gain the film rights from toy company Mattel, who has had the rights to the toy since 1997. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Star Trek writers Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman will produce. Brad Caleb Kane, a co-producer and writer on the television series Fringe will coin the script. The View-Master movie will probably be in 3-D; however DreamWorks had no comment on the matter.
