The big movie this weekend was hands-down Star Trek. It had a promising Thursday night premiere, grossing $7 million. And on Friday, it made $23.8 million more! So for the weekend total, the sci-fi thriller "prospered" an estimated $72.5 million. This was also the most attended Trek movie of all time and also held the biggest opening. And, to top even that off, IMAX screenings of Star Trek made $8.5 million. It passed The Dark Knight's $6.3 million cutoff. Looks like another hit for Paramount! X-Men Origins: Wolverine fell 68% to an estimated $27 million in its second weekend. Its ten-day total is now an estimated $130 million. Ghost of Girlfriends Past also dropped 32% to an estimated $10.5 million. Its ten-day total now an estimated $30.2 million. Another movie opening this weekend, Next Day Air was obviously no competition to the J.J Abrams reboot, however it still managed to rake in $4.1 million in 6th place. Obsessed still holds decent box office results. In its third weekend in theaters, it fell 46% to $6.6 million. Finishing in 7th place, The Soloist grossed an estimated $3.9 million in its third weekend. Below are the box office results from May 8th-May 10th according to studio estimates Sunday-
