Jason Statham in ‘The Killer Elite’

Crank: High Voltage star Jason Statham is an announced cast member in the low-budget film The Killer Elite. It will be directed by Gary McKendry, who's most known for directing television commercials. The movie is based off of Ranulph Fiennes' novel The Featherman.

The Killer Elite is based on real events and follows a group of former British special forces members who are being hunted down by assassins. Statham will play a former Navy Seal who is forced out of retirement to save his close best friend.

Filming begins in fall at sites in London, Paris and Australia. No official release date has been announced yet.
