New Bruce Willis ‘Surrogates’ Trailer

Which of these does this remind you of more- the Fox show Dollhouse or the video game series The Sims? Humans control robots and do whatever the hell that they want without fear of consequences for their actions.

Surrogates is about just that, except now for some reason when the robot dies, the human controlling it does as well. I don't watch Dollhouse, but isn't that basically the gist of the show? I used to play The Sims before I auctioned it off on eBay, however, and I was the lazy human. Anyway, Surrogates stars Bruce Willis as a cop who is forced to actually leave his machine to investigate the murders for the first time in years.

Oh, here we go again! Bruce Willis, you're always a freaking cop! The Die Hard movies, Planet Terror, Sin City…if only you didn't look so damn cool playing one.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines director Jonathan Mostow does exactly that for Surrogates and Michael Ferris and John D. Brancato (fresh off Terminator Salvation) write the screenplay. The movie is based off of the graphic novel of the same name by Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele.

Surrogates is due out September 25^th. Check out the trailer below from MySpace; it's pretty odd…
